This is a 17-part golden treat! Glen Keane giving a lecture on drawing from observation, not just from seeing...so far that's what he had covered or was still covering. Well, I'm only at part 3 now & i'm sure there alot more topics to come...just excited to put up this find. now now lemme continue~ damn its 4 am :S
Watched this over the weekend...& its an instant favourite! If you like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind(which is by the same director), then you will love this show. Innocent, trippy, simple, creative & raw - the mix for a charming movie.
I did some research on the director, Michel Gondry, & found out that he directed quite a number of MTVs before. The Foo Fighter's everlong & Bjork's hyperballad are a couple of them. & he seems to incorporate in his work a lot of this idea on dream & reality intertwining with each other. A rather addictive concept.
Here's a clip from last sunday's show. Pepper live at The Fillmore with the Mad Caddies, the Supervillains & Splinta. It was a ska reggae punk show with leafy-smoke filled air. Excellent performances, deserving of its encore. All the bands got onstage together, Fat Mike made a surprise guest appearance & they covered NOFX's Eat the Meek! This was how it looked like from the stage.
Lets sing along kids...
Y mussed oui stay wear wee don't bee longe Y mussed oui stay wear wee don't bee longe
Because there's never gonna be enough space So eat the meek, savor the taste It's always gonna be a delicacy Lick your chops and eat the meek
The factory mass producing fear, bottled, Capped, distributed near and far Sold for a reasonable price And the people, they love it, they feed it Brush with it, bathe with it, breathe it Inject it direct to the blood It seems to be replacing love
*this part isn't in the clip. but i gotta complete the song* Because there's always gonna be token truth Forgotten code discarded youth You know there's always gonna be pedigree One own the air one pay to breathe
here's something to heal the soul... do you remember that song playing in the background at the end of 50 First Dates? the part where Drew was looking out the boat's window. yup yup, after many failed attempts trying to find it, i've found it! yey to me~ woo hoo ooou ouu ouu~~
